Kimya Dawson Joins the International Pop Underground

There is a new volume of the International Pop Underground series of 7" 45rpm releases featuring Kimya Dawson. It is the song "My Mom", a preview of her new album Remember That I Love You (KLP175), backed with the song "Child of the Sea" by her pal Matty Pop Chart. A split release! So hott.

The new Kimya Dawson album will be in stores May 9, but the K Mail Order Dept. has Remember That I Love You (KLP175) available today on both LP and CD. Yay!

Karl Blau New 45

Karl Blau also has a new 45 available from the On Purpose Records label in Illinois. It couples "Slow Down, Joe" from his Beneath Waves (KLP174) album with "Lake King’s Daughter", a classic Non-LP B-Side. "Lake King’s Daughter features lyrics by A.A. Milne, a highly reputable source. Get it now from the K Mail Order Dept.!

Mount Eerie Continues to Crank It Out!

Phil Elverum left for Japan with Woelv, but left behind several recent releases from his P.W. Elverum & Sun records label.

Eleven Old Songs of Mount Eerie is a CD and LP combination (white vinyl!) that collects a batch of "old" (dating to a few months back) songs for new release.

"I Whale" is a one-sided Mount Eerie 45 with a silkscreen printed image on the flip, released by the folks at Blue Sanct in Bloomington, Ind.

Kimya on the Side!

Plan-It-X Records has released an album that was recorded in Annecy, France with Kimya and many French pals under the name Antsy Pants. Kimya has been performing some of the material in her solo set, but now the K Mail Order Dept. has the original article.

Little Wings on the 45!

Art School Drop-Out is a label in Australia that has been making available many amazing objects. Their most recent gift to the world is a 45 that Kyle Field recorded on the recent Little Wings tour down under. It includes two songs on which Kyle is accompanied by a special Australian version of Little Wings. The supply is very limited, so get in.

Nicky is an Olympia fixture who’s debut CD is available from the Scream Club’s new label. 15 songs in all.

Jeremy Jay Visits Olympia!

A favorite of the K Mail Order Dept., Jeremy Jay, will be touring through the NW next week, playing several shows in Olympia April 12 and 13. We are distributing his new 5 song EP. It is beautiful rebel verse set to bright young chords.
