The Studio: Dub Narcotic Studio has played a central role in many recordings including a host of K Records releases. As of fall '09, Dub's doors are open for general booking. A versatile blend of vintage and modern recording equipment and instruments, a chill atmosphere, and an extensive collection of hand percussion noisemakers all lend to a comfortable and inspiring studio atmosphere.

Dub Narcotic is an analog/digital studio based around an MCI JH16, Apogee conversion, and an Electrodyne mixing console. The mic locker is well outfitted with a versatile selection ranging from cheap trashy types to Neumanns. Outboard effects include compressors and limiters from Universal Audio, RCA, DBX, and more; Roland and Echoplex tape delays; and a selection of spring verbs including an AKG BX20. Computer based processing includes effects by Universal Audio, Audio Ease, PSP, and SSL.

Rates: The studio rate is $450/day including engineer for a "normal" 10 hour workday. Days longer than this may be possible on a case by case basis at the engineer's rate of $25/hr.

Booking Info: Time may be tentatively reserved in advance, but a 25% deposit is required to secure a booking. Payment is due in full at time of session, and before any recordings leave the studio. Changes/cancellations made within a week of the booked date will forfeit the deposit.
